For the approximately 3,000 shareholders present the 80-meter exhibition hall, including 4.0 Empore had to be prepare for the meeting.
The configuration and the dimensions of the hall made the event become a reale sound challenge.Most parts of the walls , were covered with smooth wood panels, which by their nature are not helpfull to creat a good sound. One wall was clad with Molton to take the rooms hardship of sound. In order to minimize the sound on reflective surfaces a very accurate system had to be use.
With ACS Media Technology Porsche chose again a reliable partner, which offered the entire technical project management from a single source. The complete camera and projection material was realized by ACS.
In the field of light and sound, MK-Veranstaltungstechnik was consultaed. Among the tasks was beside the sound in the hall also the transmission of sound in the exterior.
The acoustic flawless sound was realyzed by MK with a high quality mix. At the front truss per side a Line Array GEO-S (9x805, 1x830 and 2, CD12) was used. As subbass were 2xB2-Sub (D & B) and as Nearfill 6xE3 and 2xC690 (D & B) selected.
Driven was the entire system with two CAMCO amplifier racks, each with 2 VORTEX 6 and a NX241 controller.
Thomas Furthmüller from MK-Veranstaltungstechnik explains that "the set-up stage was very strictly organised, as there wasn't much time for preparation. There was no time to reposition or re-adjust the line array so the first set-up had to be right - and it was 100%, thanks to the GEOSoft's reliable simulation results.The result proved me right, as this event needed high-quality speech amplification, for me the NEXO GEO S Line Array in conjunction with VORTEX amps was the only choice. The speeches and the showing of the image film came across fantastically well".
