4. August 2004, a sunny day in August is coming to an end. More than 3000 visitors of all ages troop to the outdoor stage on the Killesberg in Stuttgart, to see and hear the grande dame of American folk music, Joan Baez. The now 60-year-old singer, known for songs such as "We Shall Overcome" or "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", stopped on her gemany tour 2004 at  the Swabian metropolis.

The technical implementation of the Stuttgart concert was the job of the specialists MK-Veranstaltungstechnik, who accomplished the blues legend BB King on his Farewell Tour three weeks before at the same place. Since 1983, MK-Veranstaltungstechnik works in the field of planning, technical assistance and hiring of professional lighting, sound, AV and stage equipment for events of every kind.

To fullfill the dynamic demands of this music, MK Veranstaltungstechnik rigged two stacks of Nexo Geo line array, supported in the sub area by eight db C7 subwoofer. For the Nearfill of the stage they used two C7-Tops in the full-range mode. Sound engineer Jürgen Laichingen: "The Sub range made us a little worried at first because we felt with our four Nexo-Subs dimensiond to low. But after a test in our warehouse in Welzheim we decided that the use of the C7-Subs in the frequency response and sound behavior will optimally completed the Nexosystem. "

That the effort had paid off, the concert-visitors could impressive experience. Whether Joan Baez, supported by her four musicians, rhythmically pointed songs were the best or only game of its acoustic guitar singing - the sound was always clear and brilliant. Even on the rear ranks could every nuance of the multi-faceted game of the musicians be heard. If the sunset had not lightened the stage until the last song,  you would not had believed that youre on a open-air concert.
